Ruby Dean (Love) Heskett, 77

Ruby Dean (Love) Heskett, 77, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 7, 2015, after a brief stay at Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas.
She was born to Dan D. and Iris “June” (Knoblett) Love on July 5, 1937 in Robinson, Illinois. She lived most of her life in the area of Clinton, Indiana, but called Wichita Falls, Texas home since 2005. To know Ruby was to have been hugged, as she was a loving daughter, sister, wife, Mother, and friend to many.
Ruby married her high school sweetheart, Donald E. Heskett in 1954. For 41 years Ruby and Donald raised their four children who survive: Ronald of Wichita Falls, TX; Robert (Janet) of Clinton, IN; Teal (John) Scioldo of Clinton, IN; and Sara (Tim) Sever of Avon, IN. Together, Donald, (who passed away April 4th,1996), and Ruby operated Heskett’s Greenhouse for many years, creating numerous fond memories for the entire family, but especially their grandchildren. Possessing a loving heart, Ruby faithfully cared for family and friends with delicious home-cooked meals and baked goods from scratch. Ruby also loved to read, play cards, and chat with family and friends. Last year she received her 50 year pin from the Order of Eastern Star, Montezuma #537, where she was widely known for her crullers (cinnamon/sugar covered pastry).
Ruby is survived by her mother, June; her brother, Kenneth (Margie) Love of Wichita Falls; as well as her sister, Linda (Butch) Chapoton of Houston, TX. Also surviving are grandchildren, John (Joni) Scioldo, Melissa (Jason) Barnes, Bobbi Scioldo, Karyn (Joseph) Nicosia, Andrea Heskett, Ross (Jordan) Heskett, Cassidy, Caitlin, and Kendall Sever. In addition, she is survived by too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews to list. Ruby spent her last few years being well cared for by her cousin, Deborah (Yeager) Brooks, and a special family friend, Lagail Weaver.
A memorial service was held in Texas.
Visitation will be from 9 am to 11 am Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton with Order of Eastern Star Services to begin at 10:45 followed by services at 11 with Rev. Bill Felts officiating. Burial will follow at Helt’s Prairie Cemetery.
