Sharon Sue Mills Looney went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2015.  She was born on July 7, 1945 to the late Cecil H. and Abigail Pierce Mills.
Sharon was married to Jimmie Looney on February 20, 1965.  They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family this year.
Sharon was a native of Charlestown, IN and has resided in Clinton for the last 44 years of her life.  She was a graduate of Charlestown High School in 1963.  She is retired from the Union Hospital billing department where she worked for many years.  Prior to that, she had worked for the billing department at Vermillion County Hospital for several years.
Sharon was a lifetime member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, lifetime member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, a lifetime member of the Marine Corp Women’s Auxiliary, the Half-Century Club, the Eagles, and a past member of the Wakofe Club.  She was also a member of the First Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Ishmael Mills; and her sister, Marietta P. Mills Barnes.
Survivors include her husband Jimmie; her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Yvonne (Dailey) Looney of Hillsdale; her daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Dan Mitchell of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Tiffany Looney; a grandson, Dylan Cartwright; a sister, Brenda Hall of Huntington, IN; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mills of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-8 Thursday at Frist Funeral Home.  Services will be held 11 am Friday at Frist.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.fristfuneralhome.com.
