Cheryl A. Murphy, 59, of Clinton, passed away at 9:25 p.m. EDT Monday, July 27, 2015 at Meadows Manor North in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was born December 2, 1955 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of the late Floyd A. and Irma J. Weir Vandevender.

Cheryl married Richard Murphy on August 20, 1983 in Cayuga, Indiana. He survives.

Other survivors include her siblings, Connie Aten of Perrysville, Indiana; Eric(Carol)Vandevender of Blanford, Indiana and Dawn Murdock of Cayuga, Indiana, along with several nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her step daughter, Vickie Jones.

Cheryl was a homemaker. She was a member and very active at the Cross Tabernacle Church in Terre Haute, Indiana. Cheryl was a 1973 graduate of North Vermillion High. Cheryl enjoyed helping her church and spending time with her family.
