Gregory L. Gibbons, 59, of St. Bernice, passed away in Union Hospital Gibson Hospice Unit In Terre Haute on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 4:55 pm with his family at his side.
He was born in Terre Haute on September 26, 1959, to Warren “Tom” Gibbons and Mildred Hutson Gibbons.
He was employed by several railroads and he retired from doing track maintenance at Indiana Railroad after 42 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Jerry W. Gibbons.
He was married to Dorothy Gilbert Gibbons on July 30, 1977 and she survives him.  In addition he is survived by a daughter, Monica (Shawn Robison) Gibbons of St. Bernice; sons, Matthew Gibbons and Mason Gibbons, both of St. Bernice; brother, Donnie (Sharon)  Gibbons of Terre Haute; sister, Debbie Taylor of Bedford; grandchildren, Cedric Gibbons, Jager Robison, Alex Gibbons, and Gavin Clore; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 12 to 2 pm at Frist Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Parke-Vermillion Humane Society.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
