New Health Insurance Plan Could Save City Nearly $1 Million

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The City of Terre Haute could save as much as $1 million over the next two years with a new health insurance provider.

The Board of Public Works gave its approval during a meeting Monday morning to join the Indiana Teamsters health plan.

The city currently contracts with Anthem for health insurance coverage.

The currently have about 15,000 in the plan around the state.

The new plan takes effect July 1.

The lower cost will be locked in for the next two years.
