Police Called Multiple Times About Hallucinating Woman Near Turkey Run State Park

PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Saturday night (5/18/19) just before 10:00 p.m. Parke County Deputies, and Indiana Conservation Officers were called to the area of Turkey Run State Park for a report of a female who had sent a text message to a friend asking for help.

Park Security and Indiana Conservation Officers failed to locate the woman.

Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning Parke County Deputies were called a second time in relation to the woman.

They say that 31-year-old Tina Sandoval of Newburgh, IN, called 911 asking for help.

Police found her at a campsite near State Road 47 & Coxford Rd.

Officers say that she was hallucinating and thought fixed objects were attacking her.

The female was escorted out of the campsite area and loaded into an ambulance and taken to Crawfordsville Hospital for evaluation.

At some point Sandoval claimed that she was raped but police say that after a medical examination and investigation the man she was staying with was released.

Police say that details of their investigation will be forwarded to the Parke County Prosecutors office.
