One Hurt In Saturday Crash On I-70

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – One person was seriously injured in a crash Saturday morning on Interstate 70 near mile marker 4 in Vigo County.

Apparently a box truck was delivering paint for work along the Wabash River Bridge.

The box truck slowed to move into the median and was hit by a pickup truck that failed to slow down.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered serious injuries and was taken to Regional Hospital. He was then flown to Indianapolis. That person’s identity has not been released.

The driver of the box truck was not injured.

The crash caused a section of the westbound lanes to be shut down for a couple of hours.
