NATIONWIDE – With the Labor Day travel rush about to get underway, Google is out with some new map features.

Molly Vandenburg, a Google technology expert, says the updated Google Maps can help people with both Labor Day travel and getting to work when the holiday is over.

“This year, someone who takes a couple different methods to get to work, they’ll be able to see leg-by-leg information about every step of their commute,” Vandenburg said. “That way, they can one comprehensive estimated arrival time.”

Vandenburg says you can use the new features safely in your car because they’re hands-free. Besides navigation help, you can pull up music through Spotify, all by voice command. The system will also let you share your estimated arrival time with family and friends.
