KOKOMO, Ind. — An Indiana hemp-processing plant is open and ready to process the state’s first legal crop of industrial hemp.

Third Wave Farms, based in Kentucky, opened a 22,000-square-foot processing plant in Kokomo last month.

The plant has machines that can dry and process nearly 80,000 pounds of hemp per day and turn it into a market-ready product that’s used in items like CBD oil.
