VIGO COUNTY, Ind.  – More details are known about the separation of Chief Financial Officer Bruce Perry and the Vigo County School Corporation.

An agreement was reached 19 days after he left the school system.

Perry signed the deal on January 29.

SEE SEPARATION AGREEMENT HERE

As part of the deal Perry will still be paid through June 30th of this year.

His annual salary is $135,000.

The corporation will also not try to stop him from filing for unemployment.

In exchange for those accommodations, Perry agreed not to sue the school corporation.

Perry would also have to pay back the entire amount if he severs the agreement.

Perry left the school corporation around the same time that $3 million was discovered in the operating cash balance that was not known to exist.

The school corporation said it will not comment any further about Perry’s departure.

The school board has yet to approve the deal.  That will happen at a future meeting.
