Call To Police Results In The Arrest Of Two On Multiple Charges

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Monday (4/6/20) morning around 3:00 a.m. Vermillion County Police were called a possible domestic situation in the parking lot of the Pilot Truck Stop in Northern Vermillion County.

The vehicle in question, left the scene but was spotted a short time later. Police say that the vehicle was unable to maintain its lane and had an expired license plate.

The vehicle was stopped and following a K-9 open air search of the vehicle, officers located several items of paraphernalia, illegal narcotics, and syringes. Both the driver,38-year-old Brandon D. Howard of North Little Rock Arkansas and 31-year-old Tiffany M. Cooney of Morgantown Indiana were taken into custody.

Cooney was taken to the Vermillion County Jail while Howard was taken to Union Hospital of Clinton for a certified chemical test. That test showed the presence of Methamphetamine and MDMA in his system.

He faces charges of DUI (Controlled substance) possession of syringe, methamphetamine and paraphernalia and false informing. Cooney is charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, syringe and paraphernalia.
