KNIGHT, Kimba A. (Scott) (Whitesell) 76, Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Meadow Lakes Assisted Living in Mooresville. She was born on October 23, 1943 in Rosedale, Indiana to the late John Whitesell and Mary (Esherich) Whitesell. Kimba was a 1962 graduate of Rosedale High School in Rosedale, Indiana. She was an administrative assistant at the Rockville Training Center and later worked at the office of Dr. John D. Knight. Kimba retired in 2004 and moved to Fairfield Glade in Crossville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. Kimba loved traveling, reading, quilting, and knitting.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie (Scott) Northern and husband Drew of Martinsville; her son, John Scott and wife Livia of Plainfield; her stepdaughters, Kris Stinson and her husband Jon and Noelle Lee and her husband Jason; grandchildren, Hannah, Hayden, Madison, and Keegan Northern; Ian and Ella Scott; her step grandchildren Hadley (Stinson) Eickhoff and husband Alex and Hudson Lee; step great-grandchild Rae Eickhoff. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jo Whitesell.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary (Esherich) Whitesell; her first husband Steven L. Scott; her husband John D. Knight and her step granddaughter, Carley Elise Stinson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Gooch Funeral Homes, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or at alz.org in the name of Kimba A. Knight.
