TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – New court dates for protesters that were arrested late Monday.

It was all due to some confusion on Wednesday morning about just when the court house would be open.

The protesters who were arrested had paperwork that indicated Wednesday hearings. When they got there, the court was not ready.

The prosecutor’s office said that there was some confusion when they were booked into the count jail as to when they should appear.

The prosecutor says if they don’t have a pending record and aren’t arrested again the charges would be dropped.

The charges for most of the protesters relate to obstructing traffic.

One of those arrested said that they thought it was a tactic to keep them from protesting again.

Prosecutor Terry Modesitt says he supports their right to protest but he wants them to do it lawfully.

The new court dates are split between July and September.
