George Dixon Sisk, 89, of Terre Haute and formerly of Marshall, Indiana passed away at 5:30 pm Sunday, July 19 in his residence. He was a retired machine operator for Raybestos in Crawfordsville. He was born December 5, 1930 in Hopkins County, Kentucky to the late Lloyd L. Sisk and Lela Bell Hicks Sisk.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Kathryn L. Jones Sisk whom he married July 28, 1959. Also surviving, three sons, George Douglas Waters of Evansville, George Allen (Tasha) Sisk of Clinton and David W. (Juanita) Sisk of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Owen, Henry, Ollsee; three sisters, Oval, Oneal, Rose May; one granddaughter, Samantha Sisk.
He was a member of Marshall Federated Church and the Raybestos Wabash Club. He loved playing the guitar for Cowboy Church , singing karaoke and playing pool.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. central time, Saturday, July 25 at Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, Kentucky. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. EST Thursday, July 23 at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, IN.
