Over 2,500 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Along With 27 Deaths In Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 2,519 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19. To date, a total of 157,713 Indiana residents are known to have had the novel coronavirus.

A total of 3,858 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 27 from the previous day.

State statistics show that there are 41 new reported cases of COVID-19 along with 2 new deaths in Vigo County.

There are 12 new cases in Vermillion County which has been moved to CODE RED while all other counties in the Wabash Valley remain in CODE ORANGE.

There are eight new cases and one new death in Parke county.

There are seven new cases in Clay County and no new reported deaths.

There are seven new cases in Sullivan County and no newly reported deaths.

There are two new cases in Putnam County and no newly reported deaths.
