Over 5,200 New COVID Cases In Indiana, 63 More Deaths

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 6,059 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19. That brings to 312,521 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus.

A total of 5,232 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 63 from the previous day.

The state Department of Health will offer free testing from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Forrest Park in Brazil.

On Wednesday 101 new cases were reported in Vigo County along with five new deaths.

There were 25 new cases in Vermillion County and 14 in Parke County.

There were 17 new cases in Putnam County.

In Clay County there were 31 newly reported cases and one new death.

There were 73 new cases in Sullivan County.
