PARKE COUNTY, Ind – On Sunday (04/18/21) Parke County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Ferndale Rd East of SR 59.

The vehicle failed to stop, and the pursuit was on.

It lasted for approximately 38 miles and continued into Vermillion County where the vehicle then rammed two Deputies vehicles.

The vehicle then spun out and came to a stop on SR 63 just South of Main St.

Deputies with the help of Parke County K-9 Kilo then arrested 37 year old Donald Sutherland of Brazil into custody.

He was taken to the Parke County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless driving and criminal recklessness, and will also be facing additional charges in Putnam and Vermillion County Indiana.
