DANA- Clarence R. “Reggie” Mullins, 70, of Dana, Indiana passed away at 11:45 am, Friday, July 16, 2021 in his residence. He was a Union electrician for Local 538 in Danville, Illinois and Local 725 in Terre Haute. He was born December 16, 1950 in Clinton, Indiana to the late Clarence Mullins and Mary Kinderman Mullins Fulton.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Carol A. Duzan whom he married October 31, 1980 in Danville, Illinois; also surviving, one son, Drew (LeeAnna) Mullins of Dana; one daughter, Maggie (Jeremy) Haefele of Ithaca, New York; three sisters, Betty Lou Workman of Springfield, Illinois, DeeAnna Young of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Shirley Ellinger of Farmersburg, Indiana; two grandchildren, Ella and Owen Haefele of Ithaca, New York.
He was a 1968 graduate of North Vermillion high school and received an associate degree in agriculture. He took great pride in his children and later his grandchildren who referred to him as Beard. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bonfires, music concerts and sports. He stayed active in baseball playing in many local leagues. He was proud to still hold the Vermillion County record for the 100 yard dash. He will be remembered as calm, funny, and the best storyteller.
Memorial Services will be 12:00 p.m. EST Saturday, July 24, at Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home, 225 Maple Street, Dana, Indiana with Celebrant Marta K. Adubato officiating. Memorial visitation will be from 10 am until 12:00 p.m. EST at Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dana Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 721, Dana, IN 47847.
