Brazil, In. – The owner of a compressed natural gas station on I-70 in Clay County sought the support of the Redevelopment Commission Wednesday night.

Brian Scholz said he is hoping to work with a larger national company that would employ 100 people in partnership with Scholz.

Scholz said that he is hoping local companies will convert their vehicles from diesel to natural gas. He said compressed natural gas is currently selling for a dollar a gallon less than diesel in Indiana. That is important as gas and diesel prices continue to rise.
