Two County Pursuit Results In The Arrest Of 2 Juveniles in Vermillion County

Vermillion County, In. – At around 11:30 Friday night, Vermillion County Deputies were notified by Vigo County Dispatch of a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of St. Road 63. According to Vigo County, the vehicle, a white 4-door Kia, fled from Law Enforcement on First St. and evaded law enforcement by going the wrong way on the Maple St. Exit of St. Road 63. Initial attempts to locate the vehicle in Vermillion County were unsuccessful.

A short time later Vermiilion County Deputies located the white 4-door Kia traveling Northbound on St. Road 63 at CR. 1250 S. the vehicle was traveling at 113 MPH. The vehicle, as deputies attempted a traffic stop, attempted to flee again. The vehicle turned onto Old State Road 63 near Hillsdale, went through the intersection of Old State Road 63 and US Highway 36, crashed into a tree, and came to a stop in the parking lot of the former Alternative School.

Both occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a search of the area both suspects were located and taken into custody. The occupants, both juveniles, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

A search of the vehicle yielded Marijuana, Alcohol, and a firearm with an altered serial number.

Both juveniles were transported to Union Hospital of Clinton for medical evaluation. Once medically cleared, both juveniles were then transported to the juvenile detention center in Terre Haute.

Both juveniles were from Rockville.
