Indiana’s Average Gas Price Tops $5/Gallon

State Wide – The price of gas is once again on the rise across Indiana and the nation. According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of unleaded as of Monday morning is now $4.86 per gallon, up 25 cents from last week.

Indiana’s average was 14 cents more than the national average at an even $5 per gallon, a 40 cent increase from the same time last week.

Gas stations across the Wabash Valley are charging similar prices as elsewhere in the state- Gas Buddy’s heat map shows gas in Vigo and Sullivan counties slightly below the state average. As of this morning, a gallon of regular unleaded in Vigo County will set you back $4.88.

Vigo County is one of just fifteen counties statewide where the average price for a gallon of unleaded is under $4.90.
