Driver threatens officers with knife

GREENE COUNTY– When police stopped a vehicle that was reported to be ”suspicious” the driver reached into the glove box and pulled a knife on the officers.

The vehicle had been reported in the area of Shady Lane and Meadows Drive around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The vehicle was stopped on North S.R. 45 at Greene County Line Road.

A taser was used to subdue Lloyd Turpin, who was wanted for Failure to Appear after being charged with Intimidation of Law Enforcement, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Refusal to Aid an Officer.  He also has an outstanding Parole Warrant through the Indiana Department of Corrections, according to a release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
