COLUMBUS  -— A southern Indiana man received a sentence of 60 years plus an additional 20 years for the murder of his girlfriend.

Patrick Doyle, 40, was convicted of killing his live-in girlfriend, Heather Ann Steuver, 37, and then burying her body in a shallow grave outside Columbus.

The prosecutor said the additional 20 years was added to the murder conviction becauseDoyle was an habitual offender.
