Attempted Abduction Leads To Bloomfield School Lock-down

GREENE COUNTY, Ind.  – The Bloomfield School District went on a lock-down Friday after an attempted abduction

It reportedly happened shortly after 12:00 PM.

Bloomfield Police say that they received a report of an attempted abduction of a 22 year old female. They say that reports received are that an older white male grabbed the woman’s arm after she approached his vehicle and attempted to get her to go with him in the area between Seminary St. & Lewis St. on Spring St.

The woman escaped and called police.

If anyone has video in the stated area that could assist in this investigation, police ask that you call them at 812-384-4411 opt. 1 and request to speak with a Bloomfield officer.

School administrators placed their buildings on lockdown as a precaution.  School administrators kept recess inside and a senior’s lunch in the park was cancelled.
