TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Two Terre Haute men were in court Thursday to have trial dates set in connection to a shooting on December 27th.
Police believe that 27-year-old Shane Turner was the gunman who went to a South 8th Street home with 40-year-old Royss Ellis during a domestic dispute between Ellis’ daughter and Joshua Ping on December 27th.
Witnesses said Royss Ellis told Turner to shoot Ping, and Turner reportedly shot Ping twice.
Turner is set to stand trial September 27th.
Ellis is scheduled for trial on June 29th.
