PARKE COUNTY, Ind  – Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning  Parke County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop on a motorcycle in the area of US HWY 36 and SR 59.

Police say that the driver attempted to flee at a high rate of speed and the deputy lost sight of the bike.

While the Deputy was checking the area, he located debris in the roadway in the area of US HWY 36 and Seip Road.

The bike was found a short time later and the driver was lying in a ditch.

Deputies started performing lifesaving treatment until fire and EMS arrived on scene but were unsuccessful and the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
