CAYUGA-Alice “Elvena” Marie Pruett, 77, of Cayuga, Indiana passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Majestic Care of Terre Haute. She was a cook for Castle Shannon and Rockville IGA. Alice was born October 16, 1945 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Raymond Pruner and Nora Wagle Pruner.

She is survived one son, Shawn (Karly) Pruett of Marshall and one daughter, Angela (Jeff) Moore of Cayuga; two brothers, Wayne Pruner of Rockville and William Pruner of Bridgeton; five grandchildren, Ethan Moore, Dustin Pruett, Shelbi Pruett, Harley Moore, and Sara Moore. She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas B. Pruett; one brother, Stanley Pruner; three sisters, Ruth Mitchell, Hester Swickard, and Evelyn Holler.

She is a graduate of Rosedale High School and a member of the Bridgeton Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, cooking, sewing and quilting.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Rosedale Cemetery, with Pastor Jack B. Hopkins officiating.
