Doris Ann Nicholas, 84, of Rockville, passed away November 7, 2023, at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana. She was born September 9, 1939, in Marshall, Illinois, the daughter of James Franklin and Anna Virginia Beltz Farris.

Doris graduated from Marshall High School in Marshall, Illinois. She worked at Goding Shoe Factory and Zenith in Paris, Illinois. Doris enjoyed playing the organ.

She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Dreibelbis (Rick) of Rockville; granddaughter, Lindsey Hammontree (Greg) of Rockville; 3 great-grandchildren, Madison, Jordan, and Logan Hammontree; and great-great granddaughter, Brexlee Coffman.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Bill Farris, and Richard Farris.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High Street, Rockville, Indiana. Inurnment will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville, with Rev. Thomas McEwen officiating.
