BLOOMINGDALE-Marcia M. Jones, 74, of Bloomingdale, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at her residence. She was a homemaker. She was born March 23, 1949, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Leonard Riese and Amelia Koloff Riese.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Arthur E. “Gene” Jones, Jr. whom she married March 21, 1970, in Dyer. Also Surviving, son, Bill Jones of Tangier; daughter, Kris (Jamey) Wittenmyer of Rockville; four brothers, John Riese, Jim Riese, Mike Riese and Pete Riese; two sisters, Eleanor Stanley, and Annette Hall; five grandchildren, Joel, Nathan and Megan Wittenmyer, Jessica (David Rogers) Jones and Courtney (Chris) Howard; five great-grandchildren, Bentley, Sofia, Laylah, Caroline and Lilly. She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Jones; brothers, Leonard, Edward, and Bob Riese.

She was a 1967 graduate of Lake Central High School in St. John. She was a member of the Marshall Federated Church. She loved the outdoors, plants, flowers, camping and fishing.

Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 20, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Pastor Brian Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2:00 pm Saturday at Gooch Funeral Home.
